Pine forest1/10/2024 A colonial heritage site that offers magnificent mountain panorama, villas were already built here during Dutch colonial times constructed for recreational purposes. In the highlands of Makassar, capital of South Sulawesi, some 90 km from the city center, lies the cool mountain resort of Malino, a 3.5 hours’ drive to get to. Pine Forest is in Bastrop County with a small portion of the subdivision within the city limits of Bastrop.It comes as a surprise to many to discover that tropical Indonesia also has pine forests, usually found only in subtropical regions. The next road on your right is McAllister. You will pass the entry to Tahitian Village (at a light sign on your right). Go through Bastrop (crossing over the Colorado River). To get to Pine Forest from the Austin area, take Highway 71 southeast to Bastrop. The 900-acre Lake Bastrop is perfect for fishing and boating.Īustin-Bergstrom International Airport is about 20 minutes away and downtown Austin is about 40 minutes from Pine Forest. Here you will find shops, restaurants and charming historic homes. Pine Forest is located approximately three miles from historic downtown Bastrop. Bastrop County is home to deer and the Houston Toad as well as a variety of birds from hummingbirds to herons. Most roads are paved however, Unit 6 is still undeveloped and offers secluded walking trails. Homes in the community are well maintained. Golfing is popular with two golf courses nearby, Pine Forest Golf Club and the ColoVista Golf Club. Pine Forest, located in the beautiful loblolly pines in Bastrop, is adjacent to Tahitian Village, an equally scenic subdivision that offers access to the Colorado River.
